The end date of PoE 3.25 is early 2025.
Path of Exile 1 has received two new expansions this year with the ongoing Settlers of Kalguur being one of the most successful leagues ever. Despite the delay, launching Path of Exile 2 in Early Access this year is a very important milestone for us and we've been working very hard to make it happen.
After many days of internal discussions, we made the decision to not launch the 3.26 expansion for Path of Exile 1 this year. We’re looking to announce this new league in early 2025 (think late January) however we have to remain flexible with this window as releasing an entirely new project can come with challenges that we cannot predict.
This means that the Settlers league will be extended to early 2025.
To brighten up the wait, on November 7th PST we're launching a fresh version of the Settlers of Kalguur with a little twist, that would run in parallel with the ongoing Settlers League.
By participating in this event you'll be able to play the Settlers league, in Standard, Hardcore, Solo Self-Found and Solo Self-Found Hardcore, with a fresh economy and a ladder reset. By reaching level 50 in any version of the event you will earn one guaranteed Settlers Mystery box per account. The Settlers challenges are also available in the event, so if you were planning to complete them, you will be able to do so.
In the event, monsters in every area are affected by a pool of mods which you will be able to manipulate upon entering that area, just like in Necropolis league. Unlike Necropolis league though, these mods will only be rewarding, like in this example:
The mods are the same for all players and rotate once per hour in every area, including maps.
Yes.
No, you'll need to make a new character.
No, only the Lantern that you use to manipulate mods in the area will be available. The Necropolis area as well as Undertaker Arimor are not a part of this event.
At the character selection screen, there's a panel below your characters which will show the event available. You can join the event by clicking 'join'. This option becomes available 30 minutes before the event is set to begin. Your character won't be able to move until the event starts.
No.
The Settlers Mystery Box will be awarded automatically upon reaching level 50 in the event.
If you already own the entire Settlers Mystery Box series, you'll instead be awarded with two Polaris Mystery Boxes.
As the Path of Exile community eagerly anticipates the conclusion of the current 3.25 league, players are beginning to prepare for the next chapter in Grinding Gear Games’ (GGG) constantly evolving action RPG. While GGG typically follows a well-defined schedule for league durations, players are always curious about when exactly a league will end and what they can expect as the league winds down.
Here’s a detailed look at how Path of Exile handles league endings, what to expect from the 3.25 end date, and how you can make the most of the final weeks in the current league.
Historically, Path of Exile leagues last around 13 weeks. This time frame is consistent across most leagues, although there have been some variations due to special events, extended development cycles, or other circumstances. The 3.25 league is no different, and assuming GGG sticks to their usual plan, the 3.25 league should also follow a similar timeline.
GGG usually announces the exact end date of a league a few weeks prior to its conclusion. This is often followed by announcements about the next league, including teasers, patch notes, and trailers. To stay updated, it’s essential to keep an eye on the official Path of Exile website and forums, where GGG will release official statements regarding the 3.25 end date.
Additionally, GGG often hosts special in-game events during the final few weeks of a league, offering players a chance to experience something different and prepare for the upcoming content. These events range from flashback leagues to unique modifiers that spice up the existing league content, providing an exciting way to spend the final days before the league transition.
Once the 3.25 league concludes, the characters, items, and stash tabs from the league will be transferred to their respective permanent leagues: Standard and Hardcore. All progress made during the 3.25 league will remain intact, allowing players to keep any items they’ve earned and continue their journey in the permanent leagues.
Players who participated in the league-specific mechanics will also see their progress integrated into the main game, though league-exclusive rewards or features may not fully carry over, depending on GGG’s final implementation decisions.
As the 3.25 league draws to a close, here are some key things to keep in mind to ensure you’re ready for the transition:
GGG typically uses the end of one league as a launchpad to generate excitement for the next. Players can expect teasers, balance changes, and new mechanics to be revealed shortly before the end of 3.25. As always, GGG’s next league will introduce fresh content and challenges, making it an exciting time for both veterans and new players alike.
The end of 3.25 will mark the close of yet another chapter in Path of Exile’s long and storied history. While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to a league, the promise of new adventures in the next expansion keeps players returning for more.
Stay tuned for official announcements regarding the exact end date and more information on the next league as GGG continues to update the game with fresh content!
