• Monsters killed from all leagues and additional content can now drop maps. Previously most of the monsters were prevented from dropping maps except for bosses or elite monsters, now all of them can, but they have a map drop penalty. The penalty varies based on how many monsters the league adds, and how long the league takes to complete or engage with on average.

This is a great update for map lovers in Path of Exile (PoE)! You can now get maps from almost any monster you defeat, even in old league areas and special challenges.

More Chances for Maps: Before, only special monsters or bosses could drop maps. Now, almost any monster has a chance to drop one! This means you can get more maps just by playing the game however you like.

Penalty for Easy Areas: It is a bit harder to get maps from monsters in easier areas or challenges. This is because those places are generally quicker to complete. But there’s still a chance!

More Challenging Areas, More Rewards: Monsters in harder areas or challenges will have a higher chance to drop maps. This makes these areas even more rewarding to explore.
