PoE Decaying Fragment: Uber Uber Elder

Decaying Fragment is a map fragment in Path of Exile that unlocks access to one of the most challenging encounters in the game: the Uber Uber Elder. Item Description

  • The Shaper’s Realm: Level 85
  • Lore: “A void where only terror and emptiness exists; those who attempt to struggle only hasten the assimilation.”
  • Usage: Use five Decaying Fragments in a personal Map Device to open portals to The Shaper’s Realm. This item can only be used once.

Mechanics

When five Decaying Fragments are placed into a Map Device, they open portals to the Uber Uber Elder encounter. This is an even more challenging version of the Uber Elder fight, designed for only the most skilled and prepared players.

Key Changes in the Uber Uber Elder Encounter:

Area Mod: Monsters take 70% less damage, significantly extending the duration of the fight and requiring sustained DPS.

Enhanced Shaper Abilities:

  • Ball Projectile Attack: The Shaper’s ball projectile attack now fires two additional projectiles, increasing the danger and difficulty of dodging. These projectiles also penetrate 40% of your Cold Resistance, making them even deadlier.
  • Slam Attack: The Shaper’s slam attack is now faster, covers a larger area, and deals significantly more damage. Proper positioning and timing are crucial to avoid being hit.
  • Bullet Hell: The Shaper will use his infamous Bullet Hell attack. Although he fires fewer projectiles compared to the standard fight, the volume is still higher than in the Uber Shaper fight, and the projectiles penetrate 40% of Cold Resistance.

Enhanced Elder Abilities:

  • Rings of Death: The Elder will now create three Rings of Death in quick succession. These rings deal massive damage and can quickly overwhelm players if not carefully navigated.

Decaying Fragments can be obtained from specific sources:

  • Drop Locations: This fragment has a chance to drop from Tier 17 map bosses, with a higher likelihood of dropping from the bosses of Fortress Map and Citadel Map.

Decaying Fragments can also be acquired from specific monsters in Nightmare variants of boss encounters, such as:

  • Nightmare of Catarina
  • Nightmare of Lycia
  • Nightmare of the Depraved Trinity
  • Nightmare of the Unbreakable
  • Nightmare of Uhtred

Uber Uber Elder Rewards
