In Path of Exile, building your character’s passive skill tree is a crucial aspect of gameplay, but sometimes you may find the need to adjust your build. Fortunately, several quests throughout the game reward characters with passive refund points, also known as passive skill respec points. These points allow you to deallocate points in your passive tree, similar to using an Orb of Regret, giving you the flexibility to tweak or overhaul your build.
Players can use the command /passives in-game to get a list of passives quests they have already received on that character.
Below is a list of all the quests that reward passive respec points, along with the number of points each quest provides. In total, there are 20 passive respec points available from quests.
Act 1
A Dirty Job: Complete this quest to earn 2 passive respec points. This quest involves killing all the monsters in the Fetid Pool.
Act 2

Act 6

Act 7

Maximizing Your Respec Points
Planning Ahead: Be mindful of these quests as you progress through the acts. If you are considering a significant respec later in the game, ensure you complete these quests to maximize your available refund points.
Using /passives Command: To track your earned respec points, use the in-game command /passives. This will show which passive points and respec points you have received on your current character.
These passive respec points are a valuable resource, allowing you to refine your character’s build without the need to farm Orbs of Regret. Make sure to complete these quests as you progress through the story to ensure you have the flexibility to adjust your build as needed.
