關於Pre-Order, Made-to-order Production及Discontinued
一、關於預訂Pre-Order
全球疫情下造貨及船期較以往不穩定，德國瑞士西班牙等地的預訂貨品將有機會延遲數星期，預訂一律建議預留半年時間。
所有傢品均為正式授權：我們向品牌落訂，等待廠商造貨送到品牌原址監管，再安排船運到港。抵港後經同事檢查再安排出貨運輸。
鑑於近數個月寄送玻璃時，不幸破碎的機率較前幾年高，最近包裝將較以往厚實，敬請諒解。到達Establo確保冇穿冇爛好好擦拭後，將會根據訂單次序逐一寄出。接下來返貨較大工程，收拾出貨包裝需時，營業如常敬請耐心等候，到訪請提前數天預約。
二、關於生產Large scale of production?
現代家品生產的條件有限，設計師需要極好的運氣碰上合適的工坊/工廠/品牌商，或有一定程度的技術知識，才能充分運用所有條件。暫時最有效率的方法，是將同樣的坐位換上各式各樣的凳腳 ，抑或是配上各種鋼鐵腳/木腳/坐地的沙發組合。
由於新時代的品牌大多沒有自己的老字號工廠，或經驗豐富為品牌坐鎮的工匠，他們多半將生產部分外判；在全球找尋適合的供應商及組裝工廠，再運回品牌所在地進行測試。
而這種現代工序化/統一工業化的生產模式，只適用於”made-to-ship”或”quick ship”的設計，大多”made-to-order”/定制的，需要通過的人手跟測試程序更為複雜，需時更久。
Production and manufacture are always bounded by the availability of modern techniques and machines. One of the most effective modern furniture productions to keep up quality and productivity, is creating a flexible collection of the same seat and back with several bases or legs. Taking sofa as an example, many of the sofas are no longer retained in a single piece, but configurations or steel/ wooden legs within the modular systems.
Most of the furnishing brands established in the new era do not have their own cabinet makers/ workshops or factories, all they can do is to outsource third party factories/ manufacturers around the world and send them back for testing. The type of modern industrial/ standardize production only applies to “made-to-ship” and “quick ship” stocks, while almost all the other “made-to-order” or people call them “tailor-made” designs takes much longer time to produce manually, proceed and pass through all the experiments and standards.
三、關於絕版 Discontinued
一年中的某幾個月，品牌們都會傳來該季的產品列表，被淘汰的多半是數款顏色/布料/飾品，亦有不少與市場熱門款式相異的好設計，甚是讓人感到惋惜。在Establo陳列的有可能是discontinued不再生產的傢品，也就是說再也無法預訂的設計，以後維修或許又要花上好幾週才等到廠商回覆，難度增加不少。運氣好的在別的傢品店有存貨，也或許躺在陳列室才數個月的她是原廠出品的最後一件了。有時，同事會將她們放上Outlet希望有心人能遇上，謹記先聯絡我們看看她的狀況再下決定擁有。
Great and historical designs are often being recognised only after they could no longer be manufactured. We often receive the new product index and price list a few times a year. Most of the discontinued items were certain colour/ fabric/ accessories and quite a number of great and honest designs that were so unique that go beyond the century or opposite to the market trend.
Designs that we displayed in our showroom might be discontinued, which you can no longer pre-order a new one and it takes another few weeks for an official reply from the suppliers on maintenance. If you’re lucky enough, there might be some stocked in other furnishing stores. But mostly, the one in our showroom would be the very last one from the original manufacturer. Sometimes, we place them on our outlet and hope a person with a willing mind could take care of them for the rest of their life. Just don’t forget to check their condition before placing your order online.
四、關於物料選擇 Made-to-order
雖說布款可自行選擇，但貨期時長會因應選擇款式而有所不同。大多品牌會有數種預設布料(即同事常推薦的Kvadrat款式，Google直接到Kvadrat網站會有每款布料的詳細資料，包括產地、材料來源地、編織方式、色號、材質特色等)，正常情況下都以較短的時間運到香港，我們稱之為quick ship；而made-to-order的選項均要視乎廠商存貨，大部分傢俬包含製作及運輸正常時間是3.5 - 4月。
順帶一提，歐洲廠商一般都在放暑假，所以我們都會先詢問你需要的到貨日期，配合船期再作訂貨安排。若因全球疫情延誤，我們收到廠商通知便會隨即通知你最新可行的安排。
You can always choose your own fabric and materials with lead time subject to your selection. Under normal circumstances, ready-to-go sets are stocked sufficiently in warehouses with a shorter lead time that we called “quick ship” items. Availability of made-to-order items are based on factories and brands with most likely 3.5 - 4 months lead time, including production and shipping when every material is there for manufacturing.
P.S. Apart from epidemic circumstances, most of the suppliers usually have their summer vacations in these months. As if there were any delay, we will contact you one by one once we receive the notice from our suppliers and rearrangements will be made with alternatives.
