Some say, “The future of ‘home’ offices in all sorts of spaces is foreseeable.” To evince the statement, spend a minute or two taking a glance at the existing collections especially table/ chair, as well as your surroundings. The “consumption” of space and possibilities of designs are reinterpreted and most likely they are getting higher versatility to unexpected practice in terms of definitions of “home” & “office”, “public” & “private” spaces and etc. In fact, changes might be designed to ease our trepidation towards living.
The Levitate has a calming colour palette suspended from the ceiling with glass at the bottom and perforated shade on top to emit tender light from both directions, as to create a more spacious and warm interior. Designed by the Stockholm-based Taiwanese Design Duo based - Afteroom, whose signature seating “Afteroom” collections spread their wings in couples of cafes, restaurants and studios in Hong Kong Island areas. Available from April 2021 in Europe. Designed by Afteroom Studio ©Menu
Balancing Menu’s sleek and metal-based brand collections with wood-made soft designs, Norm Architects get you the spell of traditional Danish cabinet makers and come up with the stackable Passage solid wood collection in self-assembled flatpack; which does remind us of the Stool 60 in every home of Scandinavian.
All about details and human; a stackable basket with vertical metal strips blooms like flowers, silicone felt glides and the tonal leather bottom which save your belongings gently from smash. Designed by Norm Architects ©Menu
Plinth Shelf /
Shelves can be one of a kind, especially those with a unique splash of textures - beautifully veined marble; Place things in an abnormal way might come with an exceptional result - wall-mounted the piece vertically as a display ledge instead of simply a horizontal platform as usual. Placing items vertically is proved to get people's attention easier than mounting it horizontally, especially in retail stores as the core and the base; while a sense of stark minimalism plays with dimension, in terms of a single/ a few stunning black marbles, a wall painted in white and wood flooring. Variants are also updated in a row with new table top materials and colour finishes,
Bottle Grinders/
An upright seasoning grinder collection catches up the latest interior trends: ivory and grey ceramic with a walnut wood lid at the bottom, which gives an decorative illusion of a water bottle. Designed by Norm Architects ©Menu
Echasse Collection/
Autumn leaves dye the glass in deep amber hue to complete the drop shaped vase and nightstand Echasse collection with gradient smoked dark green/ clear glasses and slender brass/ black legs support. Designed by Theresa Rand ©Menu
Carrie Table Lamp /
A leather encircled metal handle wraps up the portable Carrie LED Lamp series like a basket and creates a picnic fantasy together with the Duca candle holder at midnight. Designed by Norm Architects ©Menu
Androgyne Dining Table comes in a rectangular version and a new table top for the Snaregade Dining Table and Androgyne Side Table series. Lastly, they further evolve their workspace collections with additional cable trays on Snaregade conference table collections.
