或許，一件看似樸素無華的食器，便足以成為當下讓人想要珍視並好好生活的動力。視乎你的生活習慣、使用方式和聯想解讀，任何事物都可深入複雜，同時淺白易懂。流行本身取決於人們的共鳴及基本生活的需求，而陶器則是種超越新舊且不斷變化的永恆價值。
陶器需要用雙手來探究是否與自身切合，透過碰觸一步步勾勒出陶土在窯中的變化，對那些製作當下作的決定和想要傳達的心意產生好奇，日復日地使用，再逐漸變成向每件看似簡單樸素或輕而易舉的成果表達真誠的感謝。
食器經年月使用觸感或會變得更細緻，清洗時水珠應釉藥的方向劃過，是朝夕相處親手碰觸才會意識到的變化。細緻的冰裂紋本是透明釉藥久用後才能形成的美，透過燒製時控制溫度時間各項參數，Awabi多少是刻意顯化的時間集積。抑或是，保留陶土燒製時形成的橙啡圓印，塗上厚的白化妝土飾面後透過溫度控制形成裂紋，再在中心及底部塗上數筆白彩作為Kairagi的標誌。

陶土豐富的岐阜県以美濃燒產地及日本第一陶器產量而聞名，滿是陶器窯跡及陶坊美術館，如走遍大街小巷觀察都市的手作系建築師藤森照信設計的賽克磁磚博物館、以變化為主軸的建築師磯崎新設計的當代陶瓷藝術博物館等。
