Designed by Jean Prouvé, 1950/1954

The Trapèze table owes its name to the trapezoidal shape of the sheet steel legs, which also lends the table its iconic character. Designed for the Cité Universitaire in Antony near Paris, the sturdy table is perfectly suited to a wide range of uses in office environments and other public or semi-public spaces.

Previously designed with Charlotte Perriand in 1951; known as, An Oak and Lacquered Steel Library Table with Built-In Light Fixture for the Maison de l'Etudiant, Paris that created a stunning contrast to the warmth and feel of the oak top.

Table top: high-pressure laminate, black surface coating.
Base (legs and crossbeam): bent sheet steel, powder-coated in black.
For 8 - 10 persons
